BEHIND THE SCENES OF A FUTURE REFERENCE
Conceived as a work of transmission, “Alabaster, The infinite landscapes of Alain Ellouz” was developed over time at the intersection of photography, writing, and material. Through an ongoing dialogue between Christel Martin, whose sensitive gaze reveals the inner landscapes of alabaster, and Paul Henry Bizon, whose text accompanies the material with poetic and precise language, the book takes shape as a true editorial exploration. Every iconographic choice, every page rhythm, every visual pause was carefully considered to convey the vibration of the stone and the intensity of the creative gesture. More than a design or architecture book, this work is conceived as a reference volume, intended to accompany long term reflection on alabaster, light, and contemporary creation. Published by Éditions de La Martinière in the tradition of demanding art books, it is rooted in a close dialogue between images and text, in service of a singular vision of material.
